Here comes Mrs Claus, here comes Mrs Claus...

...ready to pre-order for your kindle now!

The anthology will be available in paperback and ebook on 28th November, ready for your Christmas stocking.

When you think of Mrs. Claus, do you imagine a quiet North Pole homebody who finds complete fulfillment in baking cookies, petting reindeer and crafting toys alongside elves? How about a magic-wielding ice goddess, or a tough-as-nails Valkyrie? Or maybe an ancient fae of dubious intentions, or a well-meaning witch? Could Mrs. Claus be a cigar-smoking Latina, or a crash-landed alien? Within these pages Mrs. Claus is a hero, a villain, a mother, a spacefarer, a monster hunter, and more. The only thing she decidedly is not, is a sidekick.

It’s Mrs. Claus’ turn to shine and she is stepping out of Santa’s shadow and into the spotlight in these fourteen spectacular stories that make her the star! Featuring original short stories by Laura VanArendonk Baugh, C.B. Calsing, DJ Tyrer, Jennifer Lee Rossman, Kristen Lee, Randi Perrin, Michael Leonberger, Andrew Wilson, Ross Van Dusen, MLD Curelas, Maren Matthias, Anne Luebke, Jeff Kuykendall, and Hayley Stone.

Equal Opportunity Madness!

EOM: Equal Opportunity Madness - A Mythos Anthology by Otter Libris

In the depths of the cosmos there is madness to be found and there are stories to be told...
H.P. Lovecraft first unveiled his dark and twisted vision of human insignificance to a wide audience with the publication of his short stories beginning in the early 1920s. He became a significant influence on horror writers and readers around the world and left a profound imprint on the horror genre itself. But something was missing in his work, things like positive portrayals of people of color and strong women.
Lovecraft is one of those problematic authors who created astounding work, but carried personal attitudes that most modern audiences find repugnant, like racism and anti-Semitism. Whether or not he was also a misogynist is a topic of spirited debate, but there is no question that his work lacks female characters, and when they are present they portrayed as weak or evil.
And then a group of feisty writers and one plucky little independent press, Otter Libris, decided to fill in some of the gaps in the Mythos....
What began as a joking suggestion to write stories that would make Lovecraft roll in his grave grew into the little anthology that could - EOM: Equal Opportunity Madness. Why should straight, white men of Anglo-Saxon descent get to have all the maddening fun?
EOM includes stories from writers in America, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Greece, and the protagonists are male and female, straight and not, and come in a wide variety of skin tones. Come enjoy all the madness of the Mythos in a rainbow of colors with EOM: Equal Opportunity Madness from Otter Libris, soon to be available in trade paper edition and your favorite e-book flavor.
Visit our Kickstarter and make sure you're the first on your street to go mad!

It's Night in New Orleans...

“There is but one New Orleans,” they say, bustling with joie de vivre, celebrating non-stop, but step closer, into the clinging, honeysuckle-scented air, and you will find a darker version of the Big Easy, depending on what you believe is true. Tales of vampires, werewolves, curses, and mysterious half-human bayou creatures are pervasive in New Orleans’ culture. Visitors may pass them off as folk tales and superstitions, but the locals know to never go into the deep swamp alone or into the cemetery at night. Tale or truth? In New Orleans, the line between them bleeds.

Night in New Orleans is the new anthology from Fundead Publications and features my Yellow Mythos mardi gras tale Momus. It is available in paperback and on the Kindle from Amazon.

Let's Meet The Neighbors...

Yes, the American spelling is correct: The Neighbors is the new anthology from Zimbell House Publishing and the theme is the folks who live next door with a variety of takes on what makes them odd. I've contributed two stories.

The first, Flawed, is about that problem that afflicts everyone who ever moves in beside you - they have a flaw. Only, this time, the new neighbours don't seem to have one. What dark secret are they hiding? It's a humorous short in the manner of the film The 'Burbs.

My second story in this collection is Over For Dinner and it brings in a certain yellow-hued Mythos as gaining new neighbours turns into a horrific experience.

You can order The Neighbors from Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk in both paperback and on the Kindle.
